The Vikings are consistently competitive.

It’s strange to look at this Minnesota Vikings team and try to analyze if they are good or bad. They struggled to put away the winless Detroit Lions but can push teams like the Baltimore Ravens to the limit from one week to the next.

This week was a week that the Vikings looked good. Their offense made some very good plays and the defense did a great job containing a tough opponent. Heck, even the special teams unit got in on the action and made some good plays, especially on punt returns.

Based on what we have seen, making the assumption that Minnesota can be within one score of any team in the NFL every week isn’t outlandish. They seem to play up or down to the level of their competition on a weekly basis.

This theory will be tested in Week 11 when the Green Bay Packers come to U.S. Bank Stadium. However, if this trend continues into next week, expect Minnesota to make this game against Aaron Rodgers and company a very competitive one.
