Patrick Peterson teases his return to the Minnesota Vikings
By Adam Carlson
The Minnesota Vikings would get a huge boost to their secondary if Patrick Peterson is able to return to the team for Week 11.
Patrick Peterson has been an excellent signing for the Minnesota Vikings this season. He played at a high level until an injury placed him on short-term injured reserve and he was forced to sit out three games.
Now that those three games have passed, Peterson is eligible to be moved to the active roster and get back into action. Whether or not that happens will depend on how well his injury has healed during this time.
But there is a great reason to be encouraged that the star cornerback could be back very soon. Here is the post from Patrick Peterson on Twitter with a short video teasing his return to action.

This is a fun WWE-style promo video that should have fans excited about having the veteran defensive back return to the field. Even though Bashaud Breeland and Cameron Dantzler have played well in his absence, it’s hard to understate what bringing back a future Pro Football Hall of Fame defender can do for a defense.
As far as the injury, the initial report on Peterson was cramping during his Week 6 game. However, his injury proved to be a bit more severe and he was placed on IR before Week 7 and missed three games plus the bye week to give him time to rest and heal.
Getting Patrick Peterson back for a game against a top contender like the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 will be a huge boost to a defense that is dealing with tough injuries to other stars like Danielle Hunter, Michael Pierce, and Anthony Barr as well as the absence of Harrison Smith.
