2017 Season: Week 6

  • Vikings – 23
  • Packers – 10

The 2017 season was a gigantic dream for Vikings fans. It felt so real. It felt so good. It was just as horrible to wake up back to reality, losing 38-7 to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship. An opportunity to have a home Super Bowl disappearing as fast as one opens their eyes from a dream.

One of the many highlights of the 2017 season was the fact that the Vikings swept the Packers in the same season for the first time since the 2009 campaign. This was in large part to the events that occurred inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 6.

An Anthony Barr hit on Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter of the game would end Green Bay’s season. The way Barr landed on Rodgers would break the star quarterback’s collar bone and land him on injured reserve. The Packers would have to rely on quarterback Brett Hundley for the rest of the game and Minnesota would not have to play Rodgers again until the 2018 season.
