Minnesota will take a double-digit lead early

There has been a lot of unpredictable aspects to the 2021 Vikings, but one thing they’ve been able to do is get off to a fast start.

Minnesota has held a lead at some point during all 10 games this season and has held a double-digit lead in seven of their games. While the Vikings have made a habit of making that lead evaporate, establishing themselves early will be important against the 49ers.

Over the past couple of weeks, the Vikings have shown a willingness to get aggressive and throw the ball downfield. With Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen playing an important role in the offense, they should be able to move the ball and jump out to an early lead.

By doing this, the Vikings can control the game and use Dalvin Cook to seal things out on the ground, but the first step toward doing this is getting off to a fast start.
