Minnesota will get above .500 for the first time since 2019

At this time a year ago, the Vikings had several flaws that ultimately prevented them from earning a playoff spot. While some flaws still exist, the Vikings’ willingness to be aggressive is a game-changer.

If the Vikings can jump out to an early lead, it will force Jimmy Garoppolo to try to win the game. While he’s capable of leading the way, the 49ers would rather pound the Vikings into submission, which creates an interesting contrast heading into Sunday’s game.

That puts the advantage toward the more aggressive team, and unlike last year, the Vikings have embraced the need to score points. That should help them come away with a victory and establish themselves in the NFC playoff race.

Prediction: Vikings win 31-17
