The Minnesota Vikings came up short against the San Francisco 49ers but there was a lot that can be learned from the Week 12 loss.

Week 12 of the 2021 NFL season is in the books and the Minnesota Vikings just can’t seem to get over the hump. A winning record has been within reach for them, but they can’t seem to get the job done and keep stacking up victories.

The San Francisco 49ers came to play this week. With the game being held on the west coast, Jimmy G. and company controlled the ground game, winning the time of possession and gaining 423 total yards (208 rushing) on their way to a 26-34  Minnesota loss.

It’s not a surprise to any Vikings fan that the team lost another one-score game. They had some good things going on, with a Kene Nwangwu kickoff return score and two touchdowns for Adam Thielen.

Still, this was a disappointing loss for a depleted Minnesota Vikings squad. Even those this outcome hurts, there were some things we learned from the game on Nov. 28 that fans will need to keep in mind going forward. Here are five takeaways from the loss to the 49ers.
