The Minnesota Vikings face a winless team in Week 13 but the Lions can be a scrappy squad. Here are three reasons the purple and gold will win on Sunday.

It’s easy to look at this week’s schedule and laugh off the Detroit Lions. Sure, they are the league’s only winless team at 0-10-1, but they also pushed the Minnesota Vikings to the limit in their first meeting this year with a last-minute field goal making the difference in the game.

The Vikings are taking this meeting with their NFC North opponent seriously. After losing to the Cowboys, Minnesota was knocked out of the playoff picture heading into Week 13 and needs a win over a team they should beat in order to gain momentum and get back in the mix.

Strangely, this game will air on CBS but that doesn’t make it any less important to football fans in the midwest. Lions fans will be hoping for their first win of the season while Vikings fans will be hoping not to give Detriot that honor.

Expect the Minnesota Vikings to come out firing on all cylinders in Week 13 as they attempt to get a division win on the road against a hungry team that doesn’t want to become the sixth football squad since 1944 not to win a single game all season.

Here are three great reasons the Vikings win will in Week 13.
