Minnesota should be able to open up the passing offense

Another major weakness for the Lions is their pass defense. That’s not a good thing for Detroit fans considering the Minnesota Vikings have Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson, and Adam Thielen ready for action on Sunday.

Detroit gives up the most yards per passing play in the NFL, allowing 8.3 yards per attempt. They also allow opposing quarterbacks to average a 98.2 quarterback ranking while only accumulating 16 quarterback sacks through 11 games.

On the other hand, Minnesota is tied for being the least-sacked team in the league thanks to a quick-passing offense and a deadly play-action attack that is run very well by the Vikings offense on a weekly basis.

Jefferson should have a big day in terms of yardage and Thielen will likely get more looks in the red zone to put points on the board. If the Vikings keep their foot on the gas pedal for this game, it could get ugly.
