The Minnesota Vikings should overhaul their roster during the 2022 offseason, but which impending free agents should be re-signed?

The 2021 season has had its bright spots for the Minnesota Vikings but a loss to the Detroit Lions has essentially ended any real hope of this team competing in the playoffs. While there are still some things to build on this season, it is time to look ahead at the 2022 season and how the roster will be constructed.

Minnesota has its building blocks in place to make any sort of rebuild a bit less disastrous than others from the past. Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson, Christian Darrisaw, and Brian O’Neill are staples of the offense. However, there are a lot of question marks on the defensive side of the ball.

Several key players are set to hit the market after this season and the Vikings will have some tough decisions to make. Given how things have gone lately, not many of the defensive veterans are worth the money in free agency to retain for another year or perhaps even longer.

It is probably going to be a long couple of years for the Vikings but they do have some pending free agents that should get a chance to make the roster in 2022. Here are the four players worth investing in for the upcoming season.
