Takeaways, giveaways, and sacks will tell the tale

It’s strange to see the statistics from these defenses head-to-head. These are the top two squads in terms of sacking opposing quarterbacks. The Steelers are in first with 37 while Minnesota is right behind them with 36. The difference comes with the Vikings only allowing 18 sacks this season compared to 25 for Pittsburgh.

Interceptions are another interesting comparison. Minnesota has picked off opposing quarterbacks ten times compared to six for Pittsburgh. Also, Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions compared to seven for the Steelers.

For the first time this year, The Vikings are on track to have Eric Kendricks, Anthony Barr, Dalvin Tomlinson, and Michael Pierce on the field, along with Patrick Peterson making his return to action.

The only area where Pittsburgh wins is in fumbles. Minnesota has struggled at times to hold on to the ball, especially in the closing minutes of games. If they can keep from making those kinds of mistakes, the Vikings are going to be tough to beat.
