Cousins is a legitimate top-10 quarterback in the NFL

All the numbers back this up as well as his overall play for the Vikings, especially this season. Kirk Cousins needs to be elite for the Vikings for them to have any chance of winning a game.

So far this season, Kirk Cousins has 27 touchdowns and just five interceptions. Which is the best touchdown to interception ratio in the league. Cousins is also ranked number two among quarterbacks by PFF behind only Tom Brady.

Kirk Cousins ranks top five in almost every single statistical category for a quarterback. All this happened behind the 29th ranked offensive line in the league. Cousins is under immense pressure almost every snap, and still, get the ball down the field accurately more times than not. What more could you want your quarterback to do?

The problem with the Vikings, although play calling could be much better, is not the offense and is certainly not the quarterback. Since the arrival of Cousins, the Vikings’ defense has been on a gradual decline to the point now, where they rank 31st in total defense. Better than only the New York Jets.

The only reason the Vikings remain ‘In The Hunt’ for a playoff spot, is because of Kirk Cousins and the offense.
