After escaping a Thursday night battle in Week 14 with a win, the Minnesota Vikings will look to get another victory in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears on Monday night.

On paper, the Minnesota Vikings appear to be heading into a winnable game when they take on the 4-9 Chicago Bears in an NFC North showdown on Monday night. However, anyone who has watched the Vikings travel to Chicago over the last few years knows this annual matchup is never easy, regardless of whatever the Bears’ record is at the time.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears prediction Week 15

For a divisional road game, Minnesota being favored by 5.5 points seems pretty high. Oddsmakers clearly don’t have a lot of faith in Chicago, who are currently in danger of missing several important players and coaches on Monday due to the COVID-19 virus.

Since 2014 when Mike Zimmer became their head coach, Minnesota has been favored by 5.5 points on the road six times, not including this week’s game. The Vikings won four of those six contests, but they’ve dropped their last two.

If the Bears enter the game with a depleted roster and staff, it’s going to be hard to believe that Minnesota won’t leave the field on Monday night with a win. As they’ve done all season, however, don’t expect the Vikings to make it a stress-free evening.
