5 Bold Predictions: Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears – Week 15
By Chris Schad
Dantzler will have Minnesota’s highest PFF grade
Trying to predict how Pro Football Focus will grade players is a tricky exercise, but all signs point to Cameron Dantzler getting an opportunity to shine.
Dantzler has been buried on the depth chart after a rough preseason but has been one of the Vikings’ best coverage corners this season. He is the only cornerback on the roster that hasn’t allowed a passer rating over 100 and owns the highest coverage grade (63.8). He’s also allowed 0.76 yards per coverage snap, which would rank first on the team.
Dantzler hasn’t been a shutdown corner this season, but it’s fair to wonder why he’s been playing behind Bashaud Breeland. After the Vikings released Breeland on Saturday, Dantzler has the chance to seize a starting role and build momentum for next season (especially if it involves a new coaching staff).
