Minnesota will beat Chicago

The Vikings’ history in Chicago has been well documented. With names such as Chad Hutchinson and Anthony Thomas running through their minds, it’s easy to understand if fans are bearish on Minnesota’s chances on Monday night.

But the Vikings don’t look so bad when you see what’s going on over on Chicago’s sideline.

Their coach is a lame duck. Their roster has been ravaged by COVID-19. All three coordinators are in protocol and John DeFilippo might be calling plays.

With all of this going on, it would be surprising to see Chicago go through anything but the motions, but according to Jaylon Johnson’s comments earlier this week, that might be exactly what the Vikings get.

"“There is a side in the locker room that is starting to go into tank [mode] and you have guys that are still trying to fight and figure it out how we can get better.”"

Perhaps having some second-string players would be a boost for the Bears as they would look to cement their place on next year’s roster. But with the current regime out the door, this is a defeated team that the Vikings should be able to handle.
