Kirk Cousins – QB

Whether you believe Kirk Cousins is the right quarterback to lead the Vikings for the next few years or not, what he’s been able to do this season can’t be discredited because he’s been tearing things up on the football field.

Through 14 games, Cousins has thrown for 3,656 yards and should easily eclipse 4,000 yards for the sixth time in his career. Even more impressive is his 29-to-6 touchdown to interception ratio which is the second-best in the NFL behind only Aaron Rodgers.

Getting the third quarterback spot in the NFC was bound to be a challenge. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers were locks for spots, leaving one spot for passers like Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson, and the chosen player, Kyler Murray.

At this point, it’s hard to know what Cousins has to do in order to get the respect of Pro Bowl voters. He has only had the honor twice in his career, and only once with the Vikings in 2019. Of course, there is a chance he could be an alternate this year, but that isn’t the same as making the initial roster.
