The offensive line of the Vikings has been a bit of a mess this season. The interior has been pushed around and three different players have started at left tackle, making it a frustrating situation for the team.

The one consistent force on the line has been right tackle Brian O’Neill. He has lived up to his billing as being the right tackle of the future. He has only allowed 12 pressures with zero sacks through the first 14 games and is on track to shut out the pass rushers attacking him.

Some of the selections made for offensive tackles in the Pro Bowl seem to be based on the player’s past or market. Trent Williams of the 49ers, Tristan Wirfs of the Buccaneers, and Tyron Smith of the Cowboys are all interesting choices.

O’Neill has never been named to a Pro Bowl and will have to keep waiting for his chance. Hopefully, his accomplishments will be noted for future voting and he can take his rightful place among the best blockers in the NFL.
