Oli Udoh – OL

If there was one Viking who deserves no presents this season, it was definitely Bashaud Breeland. That guy was a turd on and off the field, but the new “Most Deserving of a Lump of Coal” title goes to Vikings offensive lineman Oli Udoh.

Udoh has been awful this season. The guy can’t hold up in pass protection, nor can he open holes in the running game. He was constantly being beaten by the man he was supposed to be blocking, and most of the pressure Kirk Cousins would see during a game would come over the right side.

Udoh’s inability to anchor forced him to hang on to defenders for dear life. This constant grabbing and tugging led to many well-deserved holding penalties that killed Vikings’ drives by putting them in too deep a hole to climb out of.

Udoh was replaced by Mason Cole, who was much better despite having a tough go of it last Monday against the Bears. He went to the bench where he rightfully belonged, as he can develop into a solid backup at both the left tackle position as well as right guard.

That versatility may prove valuable someday once he figures things out, but for his performance as the Vikings’ right guard this season, he deserves a stinky black rock in his Christmas sock.
