The end of the 2021 regular season is upon us, and now is as good a time as any to bust out a 2022 five-round Minnesota Vikings mock draft.

The Minnesota Vikings have suffered through a painful season, chock-full of close losses, and riddled with injuries to many key players. They are a team that will miss the playoffs and will face a major transition with an almost certainty of changes to the coaching staff, roster, and even front office.

While the season was a disappointment and not much we want to look back on, there is hope for the future. With the season-ending, it gives rise to the best season of the year, draft season, and the mock drafts are coming like pumpkin spice in the fall.

Now is the time to start scouring all the college players who have put their name in the hat to be taken in this year’s NFL Draft and see which ones fill the Vikings’ biggest needs.

While Minnesota‘s final order in the draft selection process will be determined this Sunday, we still have a rough idea of where the team will pick. As of now, they have the 12th overall selection and that is where we had them pick in this mock draft.

While doing a mock draft in early January likely isn’t going to feature many correct choices, it does give an idea about some of the positions the Vikings will be looking at, and what prospects could be on the board when they are on the clock.
