Vikings 2022 Draft: End of regular season five-round mock draft
By Nik Edlund
Third-Round Pick:
Henry To’o To’o – LB (Alabama)
Linebacker is a position the Vikings should look to address fairly early in the 2022 NFL Draft. Who knows who will be back with the team next season, but it’s almost a lock Anthony Barr plays elsewhere especially if Mike Zimmer does indeed get fired.
Eric Kendricks has been a stalwart in the middle, but next to him, Minnesota has gone through a slew of players with Nick Vigil, and Eric Wilson being the latest.
They have Troy Dye on the roster but through two seasons, he has yet to show much of anything. Blake Lynch has done a little more, and while he makes a big play here and there, he has been a liability when asked to start.
To’o To’o has a ton of positives going for him. He’s got great size at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds. He’s also very fast for being so big and can cover a ton of ground in a hurry. He does an excellent job of slipping off blocks, and also can cover, showing a knack for going up and knocking the ball away.
The fact he played for Alabama is also a huge positive, as he faced the best college football has to offer in the SEC, and also was coached up by Nick Saban.
To’o To’o would be a huge score for the Vikings in round three, but he will likely be someone who rises as the draft approaches, and he could go much higher than this in April
