Linval Joseph – DT

Linval Joseph is a man who needs little introduction for the Vikings fan base. The big man spent six seasons with Minnesota and he was a huge hit with the fans. But for the last two seasons, he’s been a member of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Though last season was a down year for Joseph, he has still shown at age 33 (he’ll be 34 for most of the 2022 season) that he can be a solid rotational piece for a defensive line in the NFL.

This move to add Joseph is based around some rumblings that Michael Pierce could be cut or traded this offseason, as his price and his injury history are becoming a concern.

With Armon Watts and James Lynch showing flashes of their potential in 2021, and Dalvin Tomlinson being a force of his own, adding Joseph to the rotation would help the Vikings’ depth along the line.

Joseph’s veteran presence, along with the strong connection he already has with the fans of Minnesota, could make this a welcome reunion for the “Big Goon”.
