How should the Minnesota Vikings build around Justin Jefferson?
Justin Jefferson is one of the league’s biggest superstars despite playing just two seasons. The young wide receiver has taken the league by storm over the past two years and is on pace to be one of the greatest to ever play the position.
As of right now, Jefferson shares the field with Adam Thielen to create one of the best duos in the entire NFL but Thielen’s age and recent injury history are reasons for some concern. Thielen is not going to play forever – the Minnesota Vikings need to get someone to replace him next to Jefferson for the future.
There is all of the potential in the world to make Jefferson the greatest Viking to ever represent the franchise once his career comes to an end. He is going to command a lot of attention from NFL defenses as he continues to improve his game, especially as a route runner and space eater.
If the Vikings really want to maximize his potential, they need to add another star receiver that can take some of the pressure off as defenses adjust to helping on Jefferson. The 2022 NFL Draft and free agency market will have plenty of options for them to do just that.
Here are four options for the Minnesota Vikings to add to an already explosive offense next season.
