Oli Udoh – offensive line

The previous staff seemed to really like something about Oli Udoh. While he did have position versatility, he didn’t seem to excel at any of the positions that Mike Zimmer and the Minnesota Vikings tried him in.

Whether he filled in at offensive tackle or guard, the game just seemed to move too fast for Udoh. He played every offensive snap for Minnesota in 15 games in 2021 and 98 percent of offensive snaps in one game.

Even more disturbing were his penalties. In 2021, Udoh was flagged nine times for holding, three times for false starts, and once for unnecessary roughness penalty. Three of those were declined by the opposing team, bringing his total to 10 penalties for a total of 114 yards.

Udoh will need to improve his pass blocking and clean up his penalties if he wants a chance to stick around with Minnesota. If those two things don’t happen, his time with the Vikings will likely come to an end.
