Riley Reiff, offensive line (Bengals)
The Minnesota Vikings paid big money to lure Riley Reiff to their team after the number 23 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft spent five seasons with Detroit Lions. Sadly, the purple and gold moved on from their left tackle to free some salary cap space after the 2020 season.
Minnesota’s loss on the offensive line was Cincinnati’s gain. Reiff moved to right tackle for the Bengals and looked good in that spot for 12 games. Sadly, his season ended when he was placed on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.
Even though he won’t be active for the game on Super Bowl Sunday, Reiff will be eligible to receive a Super Bowl ring if the Bengals defeat the Rams because of his contributions during the regular season.
Cincinnati likely wishes they had Riley Reiff’s services available for the big game. Cincinnati has struggled to protect their quarterback, as was obvious when Burrow was sacked nine times in the divisional round of the playoffs.
