Philadelphia Eagles

The last team here is a bit of a weird one on the surface. The Eagles were a playoff team in 2021 with Jalen Hurts leading the way and some big moments from Miles Sanders. Sanders has not been able to hold a distinct role in Philadelphia after a strong rookie season, but the Eagles still love to run the ball.

Philly led the league in rushing with 156 yards per game last season and that should not change anytime soon. With Hurts leading the way, the Eagles should expect to run the ball often and effectively. Adding a player like Dalvin Cook to the backfield would give them an unfair edge in that department.

There were stretches last season where the Eagles didn’t use their running backs, especially Sanders. If they had a true star at running back, they could continue dominating the league on the ground and take some of the pressure off of Hurts as a runner.

Salary will be a bit trickier with the Eagles than the other trade candidates in this list, but they do have plenty to offer. Philly has three first-round picks and one pick in each round 2 through 4. They have the ammo to make a splash if they wish.

Gardner Minshew, Andre Dillard, and T.J. Edwards could all be dangled as trade chips as well, though they do not offer much value to the Vikings. This would be a tough deal to complete for the Vikings, but it is a sleeper to keep an eye on if Cook is made available.
