Zay Jones

2021 Team: Las Vegas Raiders

After a slow start to his career, Zay Jones has done a really good job of finding ways to stay in the league. He flamed out of Buffalo before finding a home with the Raiders. Last season, Jones had a quiet start before catching fire down the final stretch and helping them into the playoffs.

He had just nine catches in the first 10 games of the season but put up 38 catches for 369 yards over the final seven games while also adding five catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in the playoff loss to the Bengals.

Jones is the brother of former Viking Cayleb Jones, who is known for sprinting down the sideline during the Minneapolis Miracle, so there is a slight tie to Minnesota if you want to really dig deep.

Zay Jones has been relatively quiet since his second season. Over his four-year career, Jones has only racked up 1,884 yards and 11 touchdowns despite playing in 79 games.

The Vikings have taken swings at free-agent wide receivers who can play in minimal roles over the years. From Tajae Sharpe to Dede Westbrook, the Vikings have not found any real success in their free-agent wide receivers. Zay Jones is another younger veteran that can be an efficient option low on the depth chart.
