Garrett Bradbury – C

Grade: D

The Vikings and their fans were elated when they were able to select center Garrett Bradbury with the18th overall pick back in 2019. He was seen as a plug-and-play center and one who would anchor the Vikings offensive line for the next decade.

Bradbury was selected for his high-end athleticism and ability to get to the second level. The issue that became very apparent for him was the inability to anchor. After year one, there was talk that he was bulking up and hitting the weights to get stronger and fix this issue. He may have done that, but it didn’t help.

Bradbury, through three seasons, is a major liability in pass blocking. He doesn’t have the lower body strength to anchor against big, strong defensive linemen and was constantly overpowered and pushed back into the crotch of Kirk Cousins.

While Bradbury has to be considered a bust after year three, he is what we like to refer to as a functional bust. The Vikings did get plenty of production out of their first-round choice. He has started 45 games in his career and even has two career receptions for 17 yards. Bradbury will have to fight to make the roster this year, and with a new GM and head coach coming in, he is no longer safe.
