Marcus Epps – DB

Grade: F

The Vikings grabbed this athletic safety in the sixth round to add some depth to their secondary. He only lasted eight games with the Vikings and had just one tackle for the team. He was cut and then was claimed off waivers by the Eagles.

He has gone on to record 115 career tackles and three interceptions. Epps in round six wasn’t a bad value, but none of that production came for the Vikings.

Oli Udoh – OL

Grade: D

Oli Udoh was a bit of an interesting case. The guy didn’t get a sniff of the field early in his career, only playing in a meaningless season-ending game as a rookie. He did look impressive in that contest showing physicality and a mean streak.

He spent the majority of his second season on the practice squad but finally got the chance to start in 2021. He started out decently, but after about the third week, his play took a massive downturn.

Udoh was overpowered and consistently beaten by his man. If he wasn’t getting Kirk Cousins hit, he was drawing flags left and right for false starts and holdings. He was a major liability, but the Vikings kept throwing him out there week after week.

Udoh does provide some value as a versatile backup who can play tackle or guard in a pinch. The problem is he doesn’t do that very well. Maybe he’ll find his groove and niche in the league, but it doesn’t need to be here in Minnesota.
