Rasul Douglas

  • Age:
    • 27-years-old
  • 2021 Stats (with Green Bay Packers):
    • 12 games
    • 57 tackles (1 for a loss)
    • 13 pass breakups, 5 interceptions (2 pick-sixes)
    • 50.0 percent catch rate allowed when targeted
    • 44.5 passer rating allowed when targeted

After spending the 2020 season with the Carolina Panthers, Rasul Douglas struggled to find a fit with another team for the 2021 campaign. He had brief stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals last year before eventually landing with the Packers last October.

Green Bay turned out to be a great fit for Douglas as he put together the best single-season performance of his NFL career.

Due to his high level of play in 2021, the veteran cornerback will probably be looking to cash in during free agency this year (as he should). But if multiple teams start to get in a bidding war for Douglas, the Vikings likely aren’t going to be able to keep up due to their lack of funds.

At the same time, investing any large amount of money in Douglas is pretty risky. His performance last season was an outlier compared to the rest of his career, so there is no guarantee that he will be able to produce at the same level ever again.
