7 free-agent tight ends the Vikings could sign in 2022

Which free-agent tight ends could potentially sign with the Minnesota Vikings during the 2022 offseason?
During the last few seasons, the tight end position has seemed like an afterthought in the Minnesota Vikings offense. The 2021 campaign was not much different on that front, as Tyler Conklin seemed to be the last resort in the Vikings’ passing attack rather than a viable threat.
With Kevin O’Connell coming in as the new head coach, the opportunity is there for him to revitalize the position in Minnesota.
Conklin is a free agent this offseason, and there are no guarantees that he is going to re-sign with the Vikings. With no Conklin, that leaves Irv Smith Jr. to lead Minnesota’s tight ends in 2022. After missing the entire 2021 season due to a meniscus injury, it’s a little hard to bet on Smith being the bonified TE1 that the Vikings anticipated him to be last year.
With some major questions surrounding the position, Minnesota may look to free agency to bolster the tight end depth chart this offseason to help alleviate some concerns. Who are some of the free-agent tight ends the team could bring in this offseason?
