This is by far the most outlandish of the tight ends on this list, as Mike Gesicki is arguably the most notable tight end on the market this year (Dalton Schultz a close second).

His price range is most likely far above what the Vikings are able to afford, but with salary cap changes yet to be made, never say never. Gesicki is coming off of his best season to date, as he posted an impressive 73/780/2 stat line in 2021.

Calling Gesicki a tight end may be a bit of a stretch at this point, as he lined up primarily in the slot last season, making him a very large wide receiver more than a typical tight end.

Gesicki is similar in stature to O.J. Howard, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 247 pounds, and he has a slighter build to him than some tight ends. Having a 6-foot-6 tight end/wide receiver who also ran a 4.5 second 40-time is something that teams are surely to be clamoring for this offseason, and the Vikings should be no different.

Gesicki has constantly improved every single season he has been in the league, and with him being only 26-years-old, there is still more that we could see from him.

His asking price is going to be high, and rightfully so, so signing with the Vikings is more than likely out of the equation. But with new personnel joining Minnesota’s front office and sideline, there is a chance that a lot could be changed.

If the Vikings were somehow able to free up cap space this offseason, new general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah could go out and make a big splash free-agent signing, and the 6-foot-6 Mike Gesicki is about as big as they can get.
