The Minnesota Vikings may have Dalvin Cook signed to a long-term deal but help at running back may still be needed for the 2022 NFL season.

Now that the Super Bowl is over and the Minnesota Vikings are attempting to finalize their coaching staff for the 2022 NFL season, the team can start focusing on players to fill out the roster moving forward.

One spot that shouldn’t be ignored is running back. Dalvin Cook is a Pro Bowl runner when healthy, and he has backups in Alexander Mattison and Kene Nwangwu with C.J. Ham founding out the unit as their fullback.

Still, the Vikings would be wise to look for one more experienced running back to join the team on a small salary to ensure the team has depth in case things go very sour and the team gets unlucky with injuries.

Here are seven players who the Minnesota Vikings should evaluate and possibly sign in order to fill out the roster at the running back position in order to be completely prepared for the 2022 NFL season as well as what Spotrac estimates their value to be (if available).
