Which position groups should the Minnesota Vikings be excited about ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft?

The Minnesota Vikings will go into the 2022 NFL Draft with a ton of holes to fill on their roster and several other areas that need to be addressed for the future. As they prepare to build the roster under the new regime, they should be pretty excited about the 2022 NFL Draft class and how it can impact the team.

A lot of Minnesota’s needs can be addressed in the draft with several defensive stars projected to be available when the Vikings are set to pick 12th overall. There are also a number of late-round gems that can be found each year.

This year’s class offers impact players in each of Minnesota’s top needs which is excellent for them. They will have to nail their draft picks, sure, but they will have a chance to really turn the defense around in one offseason by adding talent at all three levels.

With the NFL Draft just two months away, the Vikings should be narrowing down their draft board and conducting interviews with the players that catch their eye on film. They will do their homework on the top prospects but they will also dive deep into the pool of positional needs and developmental players later in the draft.

Here are the deepest positional groups in the 2022 NFL Draft and how they will help the Minnesota Vikings build for the future.
