For as much as some like to scoff at the idea of Jimmy Garoppolo being the starting quarterback for the Vikings in the 2022 season, the guy is a proven winner.
In his 47 career starts, Garoppolo’s teams have won 70.2 percent of their games. In the playoffs, his teams have a 4-2 record when he starts under center. This is not a coincidence.
Garoppolo might actually be the polar opposite of Kirk Cousins. Someone who is able to lead his team to victory more often than not without putting up deceiving stats.
Throw in the fact that 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is a massive fan of Cousins, if the Vikings were to make any sort of trade with San Francisco that resulted in Garoppolo being sent over in exchange for Cousins, Minnesota could certainly do much worse.
