Quarterback has been the most polarizing position for the Minnesota Vikings since the team signed Kirk Cousins in the 2018 offseason. With the decision on what his future will be in Minnesota looming this offseason, the team has two options:

Will the Vikings keep Cousins going into 2022 or will they replace him with someone new?

Cousins has thrown more touchdown passes each of the past two seasons than any other season in his NFL career. However, he has failed to help bring the Vikings to the playoffs in each of the past two seasons as well. Cousins has a $45 million cap hit next year, a significant amount of money for anyone, especially for a Vikings team that currently ranks 28th in cap space out of the 32 NFL teams.
