Vikings reportedly met with Malik Willis, other QBs at this year’s Combine

During the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine, the Minnesota Vikings reportedly met with quarterbacks Malik Willis and Desmond Ridder.
When it comes to who the Minnesota Vikings will select with their first-round pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft, former Liberty quarterback Malik Willis is a prospect who some believe could land in the Twin Cities later this year.
With the future of Minnesota’s quarterback position currently up in the air due to the uncertainty surrounding Kirk Cousins and his contract, it’s not difficult to envision the Vikings using their top draft pick this year on a young signal-caller like Willis.
Some draft experts regard Willis as the best quarterback prospect available this year, so it’s possible that Minnesota might even have to trade up in the first round of the 2022 draft to make sure they can select the dynamic passer.

Each year at the NFL Scouting Combine, teams have the opportunity to meet with a select group of prospects. When it comes to the Vikings, they have already met with multiple prospects during the last few days.
Among the players Minnesota has met with this week, the group includes Willis, former Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder, former Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks, former UConn defensive tackle Travis Jones, and former Chattanooga offensive guard Cole Strange according to WalterFootball.com.
The Vikings also recently met with former Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett according to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson.
Will Minnesota actually end up using their top pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on a quarterback or will they just continue to roll with Cousins as their starter under center for the next few seasons?
