The Minnesota Vikings could find some talented players by sorting through the bargain bin during free agency and finding some diamonds in the rough.

A new regime is in place for the Minnesota Vikings and there are plenty of changes that are likely to take place under the new management. However, decisions made before the arrival of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell will make shaping the roster a bit of a challenge.

The Vikings are strapped for salary cap space and have a lot of older players eating up large chunks of the team’s cash. They will need to make some moves to get under the cap and that would make signing free agents a bit more of a challenge.

Good free agents don’t have to be expensive. Minnesota can find players who can contribute for close to league minimum or for very little salary cap spent if they do a great job evaluating players and fits for the schemes.

Let’s take a look at eight players who won’t be getting a big payday in free agency but would be able to help the Minnesota Vikings as they attempt to take the purple and gold back to the postseason during the 2022 NFL season.
