New York Jets

Zach Wilson showed enough to suggest he could go on to have a productive NFL career. The quarterback was taken No. 2 overall by the New York Jets in 2021 and although there were some rough moments along the way, the skillset is definitely there providing the organization puts the right pieces in place this offseason.

Relying on young wideouts hasn’t always worked for the Jets. They boast enough in the way of salary-cap space to make a veteran splash and if Adam Thielen was made available by the Minnesota Vikings, Joe Douglas and company should put in a call.

Thielen would become Wilson’s best friend in no time at all. He is one of the most fluid route-runners in the game and also possesses a rare ability to proceedings all over the field to further sweeten the pot.

Again, this is an AFC team that wouldn’t hinder the Vikings’ chances all that much. The bright lights of New York are something Thielen would relish given his prowess on the biggest stages throughout his career.

The Jets are under a little bit of pressure to make significant strides in Year 2 of Robert Saleh’s tenure. Fortunately for them, they are loaded with draft picks in the top-100 if the front office opted to trade for Thielen or someone with similar qualities.
