Baltimore Ravens

This wouldn’t be fair.

If Dalvin Cook and Lamar Jackson teamed up in the same backfield, it would further shake up the AFC landscape that has been rocked with the trades for Russell Wilson and Khalil Mack in the last few days alone. However, the Baltimore Ravens won’t want to get left behind and might have to go big or risk missing out on a legitimate chance of going deep in the postseason.

The NFL waits for no man. The AFC North now has the reigning conference champions in the Cincinnati Bengals, who have cap space to improve and are now a viable destination thanks to quarterback Joe Burrow.

This won’t go unnoticed in Baltimore, which relies on the running game to make things happen. Asking too much of Jackson in this regard could have a detrimental impact on their aspirations long-term.

The Ravens do have J.K. Dobbins returning from injury in time for next season. But much like the case with the Miami Dolphins and Myles Gaskin, Cook is an upgrade in no uncertain terms.

Although it would take a lot for the Minnesota Vikings to part ways, the Ravens might be one of the teams to watch as they look to go all-in on a playoff run this season before Jackson’s contract status becomes their primary focus.
