Former Minnesota Vikings players Case Keenum and Stefon Diggs are teammates again after the quarterback was recently traded to the Buffalo Bills.

On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills announced that they had acquired quarterback Case Keenum in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. With the addition of Keenum, he and Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs are now teammates again for the first time since the 2017 season when they led the Minnesota Vikings to a miraculous performance.

To Vikings fans, Keenum and Diggs will forever be remembered as the duo that connected on the game-winning touchdown pass in the 2017 playoffs known as the “Minneapolis Miracle“. Together, they created a truly unforgettable moment in not only Minnesota sports history, but NFL history as well.

Reunited in Buffalo now, Keenum and Diggs probably won’t be connecting on any passes during the 2022 season as the former Vikings quarterback is expected to be the backup behind Bills signal-caller Josh Allen. If Allen has to miss any time due to injury in 2022 though, Keenum and Diggs might have to rekindle some of their old magic.

Former Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs to cash in big with the Buffalo Bills soon?

Diggs has now been with Buffalo since the 2020 offseason, and in his time with the Bills, he’s taken his game to extremely high levels.

He never even went to the Pro Bowl once during his five years in Minnesota, but with Buffalo, he’s already earned two Pro Bowl nods and one First-Team All-Pro selection.

With his performance reaching new levels and other wide receivers around the NFL cashing in, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Diggs might be interested in getting a pay raise from the Bills in the near future.

The former Vikings wide receiver still has two years left on his current contract, but it might be smart for Buffalo to give him a new deal sooner than later before his price tag gets even higher.

Former Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams just landed a new contract with the Las Vegas Raiders that will pay him an average of over $28 million per season and one should imagine that Diggs will want a new deal that pays him an amount similar to that.

Whatever amount Diggs ends up getting in his next contract, he’s certainly proven that he’s worth every penny during his last two seasons with the Bills.
