The Minnesota Vikings have added linebacker Za’Darius Smith to their roster. What can the team expect from him during the 2022 NFL season?

Entering free agency the Minnesota Vikings had some major needs they needed to address. They needed help in the secondary, some pass rush assistance, and upgrades on the offensive line among other situations.

Minnesota handled the early stages of free agency by bringing back their specialist, grabbing a linebacker and defensive tackle along with an interior offensive lineman. Their biggest splash came on Tuesday when the team announced the signing of linebacker Za’Darius Smith to a three-year, $42M contract.

A former Packers and Ravens standout, Smith was one of the hottest free agents on the market. After eight seasons in the league, he has been named to the Pro Bowl twice and made a big impact when he went up against the Vikings.
