Tyler Van Dyke (Miami)

Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke has emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in the next tier of prospects after Young and Stroud. He flashes as a deep thrower who can stretch the field. When he needs to rip the ball into a tight space, Van Dyke can really turn some heads.

In every draft, there are quarterbacks who settle in a bit later that can earn a starting job during their rookie camps and Tyler Van Dyke is the kind of player that can fit that mold. He has a strong arm, good size, quick release, and a ton of upside. If Minnesota misses out on the top-flight prospects, he is an intriguing candidate to sit behind Kirk Cousins for a season.

In 10 games for the Hurricanes last season, Van Dyke nearly picked up 3,000 yards with 25 touchdowns. Now that the job is securely his for the 2022 season, Van Dyke should catch some more eyes and help bring the Miami football program back to where it belongs in the NCAA.

This will be the first real look into Van Dyke as the other quarterbacks have been the stars of the show so far. The 2022 draft class overshadowed everyone last season since they were set to make that leap first but Van Dyke was even buried a bit after starting the 2021 season as the backup at Miami.

He can really turn things in his favor in 2022. Could Tyler Van Dyke be the next quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings?
