The 2022 free agency period started about two weeks ago and we’ve learned some things about the Minnesota Vikings new regime from their moves so far.

Heading into the offseason, the Minnesota Vikings were shrouded in mystery. They hired a new general manager in Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and overhauled pretty much the entire coaching staff save for a couple of faces.

With the new regime in town came a bunch of questions. What would they do with this roster that has fallen far from expectations the last couple of seasons? Would they be gutting this whole thing and looking for a rebuild, or would they try to make some adjustments here and there and try to compete as early as year one?

Many fans expected an entire overhaul, with plenty of star players being traded away. The team needed to create cap space and many assumed this was the only way to do it. After two weeks, they’ve only let one player go and have been able to sign some new and exciting players.

The moves they’ve made and the ones they haven’t have taught us a lot about what this new regime is about. Here are four things we have learned about the Vikings‘ new front office and coaching staff after the first two weeks of free agency.
