They are true to their word

One thing we learned about the new Vikings regime is that they are true to their word. When Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was brought in, one of the first things he was asked about was if Kirk Cousins would be his quarterback.

He said he liked Cousins and was excited to work with him. Sure enough, he made the move to extend Cousins, ensuring he’s the Vikings quarterback for the next couple of seasons.

The same goes for the new head coach. He also praised Cousins in his introductory press conference and said he was eager to work with him and help him succeed. He also praised the roster as a whole, saying there was plenty of talent on both sides of the football.

After one week of free agency, his statement has been backed up. Minnesota moved money around to keep not only Cousins, but also Harrison Smith, Adam Thielen, and Danielle Hunter.

The majority of this roster will look the same, except for a few of the Vikings’ free agents who were offered more money to play for a different team in 2022.

Some fans assumed Minnesota’s new brass was just talking the talk and playing nice when they arrived and met the media. However, their moves over the first week of free agency have backed up their statements of liking and believing in this current group of players.
