WrestleMania 38 headlined by two former Vikings players

Two individuals who have worn purple and gold for the Minnesota Vikings are set to headline WWE Wrestlemania 38 on Sunday, April 3.
The NFL is a tough place to succeed. Many football players aspire to reach the big leagues but fall short of achieving those dreams. Thankfully some of those individuals who don’t make it into the league find success elsewhere. Two former Minnesota Vikings training camp bodies made a name for themselves in the WWE.
Brock Lesnar is the first example. Many people have known Lesnar since he made his WWE television debut in 2002 and won multiple championships over the years. He was also a champion in the UFC, where he took part in eight fights and finished with a 5-3 record. He returned to the WWE and is currently the WWE Champion. He was part of Vikings training camp in 2004.
Secondly, Leati “Joe” Anoaʻi was part of Vikings training camp in 2007 but shifted gears to professional wrestling since he has family ties to the industry. He made his WWE debut with The Shield under the name Roman Reigns and has since become one of the biggest names in the industry. Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion.
Two former Minnesota Vikings players are set to square off at WrestleMania 38
The match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns is being billed as “The biggest WrestleMania match of all time” since the winner of the match will unify the two titles, and the loser will leave without a title.
This match is set to be the headlining contest of the final night of WrestleMania 38. It will close the two-day event and serve as Sunday’s final match. Despite a relatively weak card for the biggest professional wrestling event of the year, there will likely be a lot of interest in this huge match between two of WWE’s biggest names.
Roman and Brock aren’t the only big names scheduled to appear this weekend. Big stars such as UFC’s Ronda Rousey, Boxer/social media personality Logan Paul, former NFL punter and podcaster Pat McAfee, and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville will all be wrestling in matches over the course of the two days.
WWE WrestleMania 38 kicks off on Saturday, April 2 at 8 pm ET and will have a second day on Sunday, April 3, starting at the same time. Fans of the Minnesota Vikings may want to pay close attention to the headlining match on Day 2 to see Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in action!
