The 2022 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away. Who would the Minnesota Vikings take by using the best player available approach?

It is officially draft month, so it’s a great time to bust out another 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Mock drafts for the Minnesota Vikings and every team in the league are all over the internet these days, with everyone dying to give their opinion on how the first 32 picks and beyond could play out.

It’s amazing how varying a lot of the opinions are, and what is the real beauty of mock drafts, is just like the NCAA Basketball Tournament, it’s basically impossible to get all the choices right.

With free agency still in full effect, the needs of teams continue to be in flux and will be that way until Roger Goodell comes out the evening of April 28th and announces that the draft is officially open.

In this Vikings mock draft, we are going to do things a little bit differently. Instead of going with who would be my personal choice to be Minnesota’s pick in the given round, we are going to go solely with the best player available. This throws needs out the window, as we are strictly taking the highest-ranked player on the board.

For this mock, the PFF mock draft simulator was used as was their list of best available for every round that selections were made. So here is the Vikings‘ best player available five-round 2022 mock draft.
