Which 2022 NFL Draft prospects could help the Minnesota Vikings fill their hole at cornerback?

As the 2022 NFL Draft sits around the corner, the Minnesota Vikings have one glaring need left on their defense. For the second season in a row, the Vikings have to clean up the secondary and improve their group of cornerbacks if they want to be successful on defense.

Luckily enough, the 2022 NFL Draft features plenty of NFL-ready talent that can make an immediate impact for the Vikings, and those players can be found in various stages of the draft. With the 12th overall pick at their disposal, the Vikings will have the ability to land a starting cornerback if they truly want to later this month.

Whether the Vikings go all out and select a corner in the first round or sit back and take one on Day 2, they should be comfortable with what they bring in. Despite signing Patrick Peterson for one more season, Minnesota needs to get pieces in the secondary that can stick around for a long time.

Peterson enters the draft as the team’s outside starter next to Cameron Dantzler and Chandon Sullivan seems like the favorite to start in the slot as of right now. However, the Vikings must improve the depth and add competition at those spots. They can do that in the draft by taking any of these seven players when they are on the clock.
