Which Minnesota Vikings players could be entering their final season with the team in 2022?
We are now a few weeks into the new league year and the Minnesota Vikings have done a superb job of making improvements to their roster. New general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah wasted no time in stamping his own mark on the organization with some useful signings and keeping core guys such as Kirk Cousins and Danielle Hunter happy, which should help head coach Kevin O’Connell as he looks to hit the ground running during his first campaign at the helm.
Things looked relatively uncertain for the Vikings earlier this year. Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman were removed from the equation and the team also found itself in some serious financial strife despite the salary cap going up considerably.
Credit where it’s due, the Vikings have managed their money well and even managed to make a big splash or two with the likes of Za’Darius Smith coming on board from the Green Bay Packers. Whether this will be enough to regain the NFC North title is anybody’s guess, but their chances look far better now than when the 2021 season came to a conclusion.
All the focus at this time of year is on the shining new toys. However, there are a number of players already on the roster that have an awful lot at stake when competitive action begins once again.
With this in mind, here are five Vikings players who could be entering their final season with the team in 2022.
