Garrett Bradbury – C
There was plenty of hype surrounding Garrett Bradbury when the Minnesota Vikings selected the center in the first round out of North Carolina State. He’s gone through plenty of ups and downs over his three-year career so far, but this is a monumental upcoming campaign for the player in terms of his long-term future with the franchise.
Things haven’t been easy for Bradbury and the lineman hasn’t been blessed with any real quality alongside him on the interior more often than not. However, if he cannot raise his game accordingly, the new regime who weren’t around when he was drafted could very make it his last season in Minnesota.
The Vikings now have two bookend tackles in Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Neill to build around. Hopes remain high regarding Ezra Cleveland’s chances for further improvement at left guard and a training camp battle for the starting right guard berth featuring the likes of Chris Reed, Jesse Davis, and Wyatt Davis will be something to keep a close eye on.
Bradbury appears to be a lock to start once again. But the jury is still out as to whether or not he can finally start proving why the Vikings drafted him so high, to begin with.
The stakes are high for Bradbury in 2022. This sort of pressure normally makes or breaks a player depending on their character.
