Bisi Johnson – WR

The emergence of K.J. Osborn last season left Bisi Johnson out in the cold through no real fault of his own. The wide receiver looks like someone that could make a real difference long-term in 2020, but a serious injury suffered in August last year left the former seventh-round pick on the shelf for the entire campaign.

This left Johnson out of sight and out of mind. The Minnesota Vikings also have a different set of coaches for the player to impress upon returning to the practice field, so there is a lot on the line in training camp for a player with some nice overall attributes.

It might sound a little harsh to look at Johnson’s predicament in this fashion. But the NFL is a cutthroat business and there appears little doubt that the Colorado State product faces a fight to make the 53-man roster this summer.

Minnesota will give him every opportunity to stake a claim. This will be difficult considering the presence of Osborn, Justin Jefferson, and Adam Thielen atop the depth chart, but not impossible by any stretch of the imagination.

The Vikings could also add to their options from what appears to be another deep draft class of wide receivers. Something that would put a big-time dent in Johnson’s hopes of bouncing back.
