Former Minnesota Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs should be a very happy man now that he has a lucrative contract extension with the Buffalo Bills.

Minnesota Vikings fans know that Stefon Diggs is one heck of a talented wide receiver. His excellent route running and great hands were an asset for the purple and gold until he was traded to the Buffalo Bills after the 2019 NFL season.

Diggs gave the Vikings some great moments during his time in Minnesota but understood the grass might be greener elsewhere. The Bills seem to have made it a top priority to keep their top wide receiver happy and have backed up the Brinks truck to his house for a four-year extension.

Here is the report on the mega-extension Stefon Diggs will have according to Adam Schefter on Twitter:

Wide receivers are getting paid this offseason. The market saw a drastic upswing when Christian Kirk signed a mind-boggling 4 year, $72M contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars and other pass-catchers wanted to be compensated better as well.

Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, and others have cashed in with big deals with their new teams and Diggs’ new $104M deal over four years with $70M guaranteed has made him “one of the five highest-paid NFL receivers in terms of salary, AAV and total guarantees” according to Sporting News.

Diggs has made the Pro Bowl during both seasons with the Bills and was named to the All-Pro First Team in 2021. He has been a huge asset for quarterback Josh Allen, catching 330 passes for 2,760 yards and 18 touchdowns in his 33 games played.

This extension along with the others that were made this season is scary news for the Minnesota Vikings. They will have to pay their star receiver Justin Jefferson with an extension since he is two years into his rookie contract and could be in line for a mega-deal when it is his turn.

Congratulations to Stefon Diggs for his massive contract extension with the Buffalo Bills and best of luck to him and the Bills going forward….unless they are playing the Minnesota Vikings, of course.
